Inspector/CMM Programmer

Job Summary:
The Lead Inspector/CMM Programmer inspects precision components for satisfaction of specified requirements and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Inspects precision fabricated components, MRB-routed product and for other requirements such as outside processes, employing a variety of common inspection tools and machines, including surface plate inspection and programming and operating CMMs.

Perform first article inspection, in process inspection, incoming inspection and final inspection

Capable of managing multiple tasks in a high paced environment with shifting priorities.

Communicates inspection results to manufacturing and other departments and serves as a technical inspection liaison to manufacturing and other departments for specific issues and requests.

Proficient in the use of a wide variety of precision inspection equipment used to measure parts with high tight tolerances, such as CMM, non-contact instruments (Optical comparators, vision systems, etc.)

Assumes additional responsibilities from time to time at the direction of the Quality Manager.
Job Qualifications:

Proven ability to function and communicate well in a team environment.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively and efficiently.

Strong shop math skills and computer skills

Mastery of relevant manufacturing and quality-related skills and concepts, including: advanced blueprint reading, working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5. CAD program familiarity and strong mathematics and analytical skills sufficient to calculate angles, feature locations, tolerances, etc and perform high-level problem solving.

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in an inspection position, including the operation and programming of CMMs.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant certifications or advanced education preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing environment within the medical device and semiconductor equipment as well as marine industries with ISO13485 AND ISO9001 is desirable.

Must be neat, clean and organized.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds required.
